Once in a Lifetime
It has become apparent,
it is over with no hope.
The war has been lost,
the battle is over.
We had a once in a lifetime,
I just didn't know it.
I had thought that it was forever,
oh how I was wrong about that.
I had an idea that it was troubled,
I had no idea that it was dying.
When it did I thought that maybe,
it was just for a little while.
Now I am forced to face the music,
the marching band parading by.
Loosing the woman that I love,
Loosing my dreams and hopes.
We had a once in a lifetime,
not an entire lifetime like I'd hoped.
